Two nights ago I finished writing the last few pages to Mending Fences. I was so happy with the way the book ended, and can't wait to get started on the next book. I think readers will enjoy it and I'm working on getting it out as quickly as possible.
The next thing on the list is to read it through, and then listen to it in audio to try and work out all the bugs. Then it will go to a professional editor. I will work through all of this process as quickly as I can so I can get
this book into the hands of the readers. I wish I could write them and get them out to the readers as fast as you guys can read them. :)
I wish you all a great night, and I hope that you are finding some great things to read. If you'd like to find some more Christian Authors feel free to join our readers group on facebook. It's a great place to learn about new authors. We have many genres there and often some of our authors will give away some free e-books.
The link is below and talk to you guys soon.
It's never a lot of fun when you have to go back to work. My husband and I just took off a two week vacation. We didn't go anywhere we just enjoyed some time off from work, but now it's back to work, and me and the dogs are gearing up for this great fall weather and some outside time.
I'm hoping to get the end of Mending Fences written so I can get it off to an editor and get it moving out to the public. I can't wait to get this one out. I had a unplanned cliff hanger in Reasonable Service and I've been peddling to get book four out as quick as possible.
It been a few days since I'd checked in and I wanted to say hello and let you know how things are going in my world. Blessings to you all and happy reading!!
I've been watching the reviews come in for Maid for Martin and for Surprise Engagement. It can be fun and frustrating at the same time. A part of you wants to answer all of them but most authors will tell you that it's not a good thing. They say if you answer to a bad review that you look petty, and if you answer to a good review you like like you're patting yourself on the back. What's an author to do?
Most of the time I read them, and try to learn from them. I do appreciate all reviews. I know I'm not going to please everyone. I try to write what I feel God is leading me to write, and then I try to write the story the way I enjoy reading one. I like a good romance, a bit of the chase and I always like a happy ending. For my mystery I like some detective work, and I enjoy tossing in some real life situations. I pray before I write, and do my best to follow the pattern I feel God is laying out before me.
Thanks to all of you that take the time to leave a review, good or bad. I always enjoy learning from reviews. No one is perfect and I know things are going to get over looked, that's life. I pay for editing every time, and with each book I learn more and more. I do appreciate those readers that keep coming back for more. I've been writing since I was 8 years old and it is my most favorite past time. Thanks for taking a part in my dream of being an author. I hope you enjoy reading every page as much as I enjoy writing them.
If you've read any of the Street Justice Series you might know a few things about Mending Fences. It's book four in the Street Justice Series and I'm working on it as we speak. I just wrote chapter 63 and I'm loving the way this is all wrapping up.
I left a bit of a cliff hanger, in Reasonable Service so I'm trying to get Mending Fences out asap. I'm not giving a date yet for release because as sure as I do something will happen to postpone that date. I think I'll need about four more chapters and then it will be on to the final edit.
I've already gotten a good outline for the next story in the series and I can't wait to see whats going to happen. I never know what these characters are going to do so this is just as exciting for me as it a reader. I just wanted to check in with you guys. I hope you all had a great day, and it's time for a glass of orange juice and maybe one more chapter.
Thanks for checking back in with me again. I wanted to give you some numbers on the free days for Maid for Martin. This time I give away 3265 free downloads. It's pretty good numbers for a book being free for the third time. I hope readers enjoy it.
I know that we have a lot of readers out there that can gobble up lots of books in a month and it's good to offer books free now and then. I hope you got a chance to download Maid for Martin, and if you're just joining us. I write under Samantha Lovern for Clean Romance and Samantha Fury for Christian Mystery romance. In a future post I'll explain why the two different names.
Today, I managed to only get one chapter finished today, on Mending Fences, and I really wanted to get two written, but today was laundry day and the day to mow the grass. It was beautiful weather and Jack and Max were our lounging in this fall weather. I hope that you all are enjoying the posts, and come back again when you can.
