Writing a novel normally takes most of us a year so to try and put out three in one year is not an easy task. I'm hoping that I can. I put out Surprise Engagement about a month ago and now this is getting my attention.
It's written but now is the hard part the editing. I had to take about two weeks off when my Aunt Deane became ill from a fall and from there things just got worse. She was one of my biggest fans and at some point I will blog about her, but it won't be easy.
Three days ago we laid her to rest, and that was not an easy thing for us to do. She was the last living Great Aunt on my mothers side of the family. She will be missed dearly. She loved this Street Justice series and it breaks my heart that she won't get to read them all. I know that she would want me to go on full force and get as many books out as I can. She was very proud of me and I'm so grateful that she was in my life.
At some point I hope to tell you more about Reasonable Service and how it was dedicated to my family. I'm so very thankful that Aunt Deane was able to read it and she loved it. She will be missed and I will dedicate many books in her memory.
Thanks for any prayers, and thanks for being a Fury Fan
Just a quick note to let you know what's been going on. My aunt has been very sick and now she's passed away so I've been busy keeping tabs with her and I hope that when all of this sad time is over that I can get my mind back on writing and blogging.
Thanks for any prayers and I do appreciate your patients. I hope to have two more books out by the end of the year and we're working on a new edit for Reasonable Service it's just about done. I hope you are all enjoying fall that is creeping in.
Two nights ago I finished writing the last few pages to Mending Fences. I was so happy with the way the book ended, and can't wait to get started on the next book. I think readers will enjoy it and I'm working on getting it out as quickly as possible.
The next thing on the list is to read it through, and then listen to it in audio to try and work out all the bugs. Then it will go to a professional editor. I will work through all of this process as quickly as I can so I can get
this book into the hands of the readers. I wish I could write them and get them out to the readers as fast as you guys can read them. :)
I wish you all a great night, and I hope that you are finding some great things to read. If you'd like to find some more Christian Authors feel free to join our readers group on facebook. It's a great place to learn about new authors. We have many genres there and often some of our authors will give away some free e-books.
The link is below and talk to you guys soon.
It's never a lot of fun when you have to go back to work. My husband and I just took off a two week vacation. We didn't go anywhere we just enjoyed some time off from work, but now it's back to work, and me and the dogs are gearing up for this great fall weather and some outside time.
I'm hoping to get the end of Mending Fences written so I can get it off to an editor and get it moving out to the public. I can't wait to get this one out. I had a unplanned cliff hanger in Reasonable Service and I've been peddling to get book four out as quick as possible.
It been a few days since I'd checked in and I wanted to say hello and let you know how things are going in my world. Blessings to you all and happy reading!!
I've been watching the reviews come in for Maid for Martin and for Surprise Engagement. It can be fun and frustrating at the same time. A part of you wants to answer all of them but most authors will tell you that it's not a good thing. They say if you answer to a bad review that you look petty, and if you answer to a good review you like like you're patting yourself on the back. What's an author to do?
Most of the time I read them, and try to learn from them. I do appreciate all reviews. I know I'm not going to please everyone. I try to write what I feel God is leading me to write, and then I try to write the story the way I enjoy reading one. I like a good romance, a bit of the chase and I always like a happy ending. For my mystery I like some detective work, and I enjoy tossing in some real life situations. I pray before I write, and do my best to follow the pattern I feel God is laying out before me.
Thanks to all of you that take the time to leave a review, good or bad. I always enjoy learning from reviews. No one is perfect and I know things are going to get over looked, that's life. I pay for editing every time, and with each book I learn more and more. I do appreciate those readers that keep coming back for more. I've been writing since I was 8 years old and it is my most favorite past time. Thanks for taking a part in my dream of being an author. I hope you enjoy reading every page as much as I enjoy writing them.
